I would recomend printers from the ';Brother'; brand name.

They have printer cartridges that cost 1 Euro a piece ($1:50) and you can buy them online and get them shipped to you.

Or go to Lexmark.com and check under their ';store'; for specific Lexmark cartridges...for the printer you seem to want.

I wouldn麓t buy a printer that I wasn麓t certain I could get ink cartridges for....

HP Laserjet in Economode, will it wore out toner cartridge?

On almost all HP laser printers, there is a built in toner saver mode called economode which is supposed to use 50% less toner per printed page. If you only print text and don't care about the more draft-like look, economode will suffice. BUT I read a blurb from an HP manual that recommends not using this setting full-time because it's possible the toner supply will outlast the mechanical parts inside the cartridge. Has anyone experienced any worn mechanical parts and if so, does it make any difference in your opinion of whether to turn on economode or not?HP Laserjet in Economode, will it wore out toner cartridge?
Under normal circumstances it will not wear out the toner cartridge. Cartridges can be remanufactured multiple times before any type of significant wear occurs to normal parts. Wiper blades and drums get replaced every time the cartridge is empty by any reputable remanufacturer. The blurb you are referencing is below also with the special circumstances that it would take to ';wear'; out the cartridge.

HP does not recommend the full-time use of EconoMode. If EconoMode is used full-time when the average toner coverage is significantly less than 5%, it is possible that the toner supply will outlast the mechanical parts in the print cartridge. If print quality begins to degrade under these circumstances, you must install a new print cartridge, even if there is toner supply remaining in the cartridge.

Yield is usually based on 5% coverage on the page (considered a standard business letter with 1'; margins or 1';x1'; square solid black).

If you are printing only a couple of sentences per page using economode your drum will wear out before you run out of toner is the essence of what HP is trying to say. They are not saying don't use economode...they are saying if you do be aware of this special circumstance.HP Laserjet in Economode, will it wore out toner cartridge?
Okay, here is why HP would say that. THE CARTRIDGE IS THEIR BREAD AND BUTTER. If you go through a cartridge slower, it means you will not buy one as quick as they would want you to. If the cartridge parts wear out, it means it is a bad cartridge, not cause you were in eco mode. If it does that for you, call up HP and complain. The cartridge should work perfectly in eco, normal, and best modes.

The printers you buy do not give a big profit for the manufacture, the money comes from the cartridges.

HP 4500 Color LaserJet, How do you rotate toner carriage?

Aside from the normal operator applications when a toner cartridge is low or empty, how do you enter a service mode to make it rotate and what is the procedure?HP 4500 Color LaserJet, How do you rotate toner carriage?
You don't need to enter the Service Mode in order to rotate the carousel to the desired color toner that you wish to replace. Instructions are usually included with new toner cartridges.

It's been several months since I've had to work on one and don't remember exactly how it was done. Of course you know how it is and how you remember things when you have a machine in front of you rather than working from memory.

    Try this:

    1. The printer must be turned on and the top cover must be shut.

    2. On the printer control panel, press [Select] to position the empty toner cartridge for replacement.

    3. Press [Value[(+)] until the color toner cartridge desired is displayed in the control panel display, wait for the carousel to turn and stop %26amp; then open the access cover.

This is basically covered in the basic Installation Guide:

    http://bizsupport2.austin.hp.com/bc/docs鈥?/a>

You can also manually rotate the carousel if it becomes necessary. I could try to describe it, but found it covered along with pictures in the instructions listed on the last page in this document:

    http://bizsupport2.austin.hp.com/bc/docs鈥?/a>

Doing it this way can be somewhat tricky as you have to align the cartridge with the guides just right and release the carousel brake/lock to hold it there so that the cartridge can be removed and installed easily. You'll see what I mean if you try it.

Best of luck.HP 4500 Color LaserJet, How do you rotate toner carriage?
    Turn the printer off

Hold down the CANCEL JOB and SELECT keys and turn the printer on, then wait until the display goes blank and the three LED's come on

Press the right side of the MENU key, then press the SELECT key

You will enter SERVICE MODE after the normal test completes

Press the ITEM key until the toner appears

Press VALUE /- to change to zero

    Press SELECT to save

Press GO; the printer should return to READY

  • Have a hp 2600n color laserjet printer, got the ';refill toner';?

instead of a new cartridge. now the page has an entire grey shade to it. i only replaced the black toner, wanted to see if it worked, guess not. any help? i was told to print 20-30 sheets and it should go away, after 90-100 sheets it is still there. is it possible that some toner powder spilled out of of the filled side to the waste side then out of the waste side and into the cartridge? if so, can it be saved/fixed/cleaned. I did notice that after i filled it, the waste side had a bunch of toner in it, where it was empty. any help with this would be great.Have a hp 2600n color laserjet printer, got the ';refill toner';?
No, it is not possible that the waste toner spills out and back into the cartridge. They are in separate sections and it cannot go back around to be used again.

What is happening in your cartridge/printer is that the toner that is used in your refilled cartridge is not exactly compatible with the printer. This makes sense because the original manufacturers spend a tonne of money in R%26amp;D to make sure everything works well together.

The toner's electrostatic properties are not balanced, so in areas where it is supposed to be repelled totally (the blank part of your printed paper), a bit of it is getting attracted to the drum. So you get a shade of grey that covers everything, hence your entire sheet of paper has some little bit of black toner on it (so it looks grey to the eye).

In an original cartridge, toner is formulated so that it only goes to where it is supposed to and gets repelled from where it is not supposed to go.

There is not really a lot you can do except to change the cartridge to an original or try another refiller to see if their toner is slightly better. Or if it is not too serious, you can live with it. Some situations will make this look even worse, eg. using glossy media or in high humidity conditions.Have a hp 2600n color laserjet printer, got the ';refill toner';?
just call a professional help on this one, you'r printer need a major check up, refilled toner are okay to used , but beware how it is refilled , and i know there s a chip replacement on every toner cartridges in order to work on your printer.
