Which is cheaper,ink or toner?

thinking of buying a copier.some use ink,and some use toner?which is cheaper to refill?Which is cheaper, ink or toner?
I'd have to say toner is more expensive, but it is more efficient and cost-effective.

Ink costs less.

If you purchased a refill ink for ink cartridges, the ink would cost less. Otherwise when you buy the full ones at store, they go from $15-20.

If you do heavy office work, a laser (toner) is best. But if it's home or personal use, the ink can suffice.Which is cheaper, ink or toner?
FYI: within the ink category there are 2 'breeds'

A) Pigment based

B) Dye based

Pigments last much longer than dyes, so for printing color fotos that will last much longer %26amp; retain that 'crisp' look, go for this variety.

For several years I had Lexmark's (X63) and the cartridge cost (Walmart) was in the $40 range.

I bought a Kodak, all in one, with wifi, for little more than the cost of 4 Lexmark refills. Plus they don't require driver re-installs (into XP) over and over like the Lexmark did.

Have a look at the Kodak line: worth the effort.
